One of our goals is to review products that really have a positive impact on our lifestyle and health. The past few months we have been looking at a water filter system because we were about to wean our baby, our location was not great for water and we were fed up of purchasing water bottles. So we finally purchased the Fluoride Water Filter Pitcher by Klar Water and within a short time, it’s left quite an impression.
Since moving to the Midlands we have struggled with the taste of water due to the high fluoride level. In our first ... (Read more)
If you read my review a while back on the popular Method Anti Bacterial spray, you would know that I’m trying to work on being more conscious of which cleaning products I use. I still mostly use generic cleaning and laundry products that are on offer but I try here and there to opt for more natural alternatives when I can.
I never used to use fabric conditioner in the past. Is that a shocking admission? Am I part of an uncouth and uncivilised minority who knows nothing about laundry etiquette? Possibly. But for the past few years of ... (Read more)
Okay please proceed with reading this post with caution if you have a sweet tooth. This review we are indulging ourselves into Lidl’s Deluxe 2 Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake. We picked this up on offer for £1.39 when we were really in need of small dessert to accompany our Saturday night meal.
Straight off the bat, this looks almost identically similar to the Gu Cheescake products which I and my family are a very big fan of. This Lidl version is much cheaper compared to the Gu’s at less than 70p per pot so I was happy with the purchase (and ... (Read more)
Becoming a parent has definitely been the single most life-changing experience of my life and like many people, before my baby came along, I made sure to carefully look into all baby items before purchasing them. In my research, I learnt of many new gadgets and items that I had never heard of before, despite being an Aunt to many nephews and nieces. One of those things were bedside cribs or co-sleepers which many mothers touted as a must-have necessity.
I’d only ever known of a Moses Basket before as a sleeping option for newborns but I was never really a ... (Read more)
After a little break, we are back and the best way to get into it is to review chilled pizza! It also gives us the opportunity to review Morrison’s Hand Stretched & Stonebaked Margherita Pizza. This is our second review of the supermarket pizzas and I am really excited to talk about this one.
If you read my last review then you would know I was not fond of ASDA’s branded pizza. I gave a detailed explanation with everything wrong with it although it was their frozen version. Part two of the chilled version will follow in the future.
Mrs Reviews ... (Read more)
I’m a pretty simple girl when it comes to my savoury foods. If you’ve read my review of Lidl’s Deluxe Chunky Chips, you may already now that I could easily live off potatoes, rice and eggs. I’m a little more discerning when it comes to desserts and puddings though. I don’t hide the fact that I don’t have too much of a sweet tooth. I would easily choose a bag of crisps over a chocolate bar, in all honesty. But, like all mere mortals, I am sometimes struck by a craving for a decadent treat. So when Mr Reviews ... (Read more)
Welcome to the first supermarket pizza review! Hopefully, this is the start of a longer series of reviews. I am not going to lie, the whole point of this website is actually so I can talk about pizza. Mrs Reviews might disagree but let’s not worry about that.
Pizza is my favourite food of all time. I am constantly craving it and thinking about it. Yes, its a little weird but I don’t care. I also make pizza from scratch at home and have my own pizza sauce recipe. That is more than enough credentials to review supermarket pizzas and ... (Read more)
I have solved one of my worst morning scenarios of having no coffee beans to brew a delicious cup…the answer is Pact Coffee.
So Pact is an online-run business that provides a coffee subscription service that is delivered through your post. Pact source ethical coffee from all over the world, directly from the farmers who grow it. They also roast the coffee before they ship it thus providing fresh-tasting coffee.
How much do you love coffee? Do enjoy spending your afternoon in coffee shops? Is one of your kitchen cupboard full of random brewing kits? Do you buy coffee that costs more ... (Read more)
I have a love/ hate relationship with grocery shopping. Sometimes the worst feeling on a Friday evening is knowing you have to make a weekend trip to the Supermarket. If you do it Saturday it feels like you not using that time to do something enjoyable. If you go Sunday then that’s eating up your rest day. But other times I like it, especially when I know we will be picking up some ingredients (and some dessert) for a Saturday night meal. Then there are times I come across something that makes me want to do cartwheels. What might make ... (Read more)
As a parent, I try to always look for the middle ground. Whilst my heart wants to shower our little boy with lots of toys, I am conscious of buying him a bunch of stuff he will barely spend a couple of minutes interested in. I’ll be honest, he will happily play with a wooden spoon and a box for just the same amount of time as he does with his real toys.
However, we probably did fall into the same habit of most parents of purchasing a few baby items intended to keep him independently occupied for a little ... (Read more)
If I had to list my Top 3 favourite food groups, it would probably go something like Number 3: Eggs, Number 2: Rice and Number 1: Potato. I love the humble potato in all the many forms it comes in, mashed, crisps, baked and of course in chip form too. If I had to pick a meal off a menu, I’m pretty fine so as long as there are some chips on the side.
So, my authority on the issue now established, you will see now why it only seemed right that I take the lead on reviewing these chunky ... (Read more)

I’ve always been a lover of international foods and cuisines. It’s been a bit of a dream of mine to travel to different countries around the world, and though I can’t really say that I’ve achieved that dream thus far, I do feel that by trying different cuisines you can get a sense of different cultures without having to step out of your home.
For a long time, I loved to explore Middle Eastern and Mediterranean foods but since marrying Mr Reviews a few years ago, I’ve been cooking a lot more East Asian foods, as it is one of ... (Read more)

I am back to review one of the favourite foods in this nation. No, it’s not curry, although that is a favourite too. It’s battered fish! More specifically I am reviewing Lidls Deluxe 2 Jumbo Battered Cod Fillets. Why you ask. Because people need answers and I am here to provide those answers!
So getting straight into it. I want to talk about the price. It’s expensive, really expensive. These 2 Cod Fillets cost £3.19. I still shed a tear when I think about it. But Mrs Reviews wanted some good quality fish for dinner. She never really asks for ... (Read more)
It’s only recently I have discovered the new market of the dairy-free/ plant-based milk. It’s getting more and more popular for lots of reasons apart from being a vegan product. So I am excited to review the Oatly Oat Drink – Barista Edition because it’s taste really good in anything…apart from coffee.
As I grow older, my milk intake has decreased drastically. I tend to find myself falling sick after having milk, especially in the winter. I don’t know the exact cause but I think dairy makes me develop colds. So I have taken some interest in dairy-free milk 2 ... (Read more)
I am not sure if I would see the day I would be eating meat-free nuggets. But here I am…eating meat-free nuggets.
The whole taking meat foods and making it plant-based is the new craze. Supermarkets are on the express meat-free producing bandwagon right now. Vegan burgers have also become very trendy and you can even buy things like impossible burgers in shops. Now I am all for crazy new food inventions and will be definitely diving into these products with Mrs Reviews. But I wanted to review one of the first meat-free products I came across which is Quorn. ... (Read more)
